Presenting The Centerfold Academy With Dr. Sketchy's Philly!
Celeste Giuliano Photography and Dr. Sketchy's Philadelphia are teaming up to present the Centerfold Academy on Saturday, February 25, 2012 starting at 6:30pm at Blick Art.
Since 2005, Dr. Sketchy's has been the name in alternative drawing. From illegal flashmobs to the Museum of Modern Art, Dr. Sketchy's has brought artists a rule-breaking cocktail of dames, drinking and drawing. Dr. Sketchy's Philly brings models, cool themes, fun contests and fascinating Art-Monkeys to the best venues in the city. Whether you're an artstar or a scribbling newbie, Dr. Sketchy's is the perfect place to get your fill of life-drawing.
The evening will feature two gorgeous pinup models for your drawing pleasure. And we need your help choosing one of the models for the evening. Photo Shoot With Venus In Chains
My talented client Victoria, founder and creator of Venus In Chains, a company that creates avant-garde chain maille accessories, recently posed for a burlesque style photos shoot here at the studio. The shoot was a few months in the making as Victoria meticulously hand made her entire costume as well as all the accessories!
Victoria's company combines the bold look of chain maille with the opulent sparkle of Swarovski crystal and the results are amazing! I was speechless whenVictoria showed me her fantastic Japanese Crystal Chain Maille Bikini costume and Crystal Flower Necklace for the first time and was so excited to have the opportunity to photograph her work.

Retro Lovely Magazine Release Party, December 4th... Tickets On Sale Now!
After a year in the making, I am so excited to release 88 pages of classic and vintage styled pin-up images in my special edition of Retro Lovely Magazine! To mark this occasion, myself and a few friends (including burlesque queens and the rum king, Sailor Jerry) are throwing a huge party on December 4th. Come celebrate the release of the Celeste Giuliano Photography Special Edition of Retro Lovely Magazine, on Sunday, December 4, 7p.m., The Balcony at the Trocadero in Philadelphia, PA.
Inspired by the Trocadero's history as being a burlesque house in Philadelphia during the 1950's, Celeste Giuliano's Pin-up Peep Show is bringing the Burly-Q back! Joining the party will be some of Philly's finest performers including members of The Hellcats and the Infamous Miss Mae. Each will be performing classic sets from a golden era of burlesque.
Also, to help celebrate, will be Sailor Jerry, a company synonymous with the art of the pin-up. Sailor Jerry will be on hand with complimentary samplings of their rum and classic drink specials all night long.
And if that wasn't enough, there will be great door prizes and raffles, including a chance to win a gift certificate to Malena's Vintage Boutique, a Retro Lovely Magazine Box Set (valued at $200), and a Dr. Sketchy's Gift Basket. Also, with every purchase (or pre-order) of the magazine, you will be entered in a drawing to win a complimentary pin-up photo shoot with Celeste Giuliano Photography!
