CBS3 Feature Story on My Pinups!

Thanks to Erika Von Thiel of CBS3 and the CW Philly , my clients Becca and Kristen and the rest of the CBS crew for the amazing feature story that ran on my pinup photography this morning! Erika, Becca and Kristen were all transformed into pinups and I had great time working with these ladies! Above is the photo of Becca, the bride-to-be, in her retro kitchen theme.

Interview for Stylish Thought

I was recently interview by my client Fajr for her website Stylish Thought which is an online collection of essays about any and everything stylish. In Fajr words..."Stylish Thought is a mash up of runway commentary mixed with a bit of social satire. Think Imelda Marcos meets Bell Hooks meets Wanda Sykes.Think Imelda Marcos meets Bell Hooks meets Wanda Sykes."

I was ecstatic when Fajr contacted me in January asking if she could interview me for a feature titled "Women who WERK!" She described this feature as highlighting dynamic, creative female entrepreneurs so I was honored that she thought of me for this.

2011 Varga Bar Calendar Debut Party!!!!! Come out and celebrate!!!!

It's finally time to unveil the 2011 Varga Bar Calendar featuring 12 months of sexy and iconic pinup photographs by your truly! I am so excited I can hardly wait!!!!!!

Pinups For Pitbulls 2011 Calendar Release Party

Pinups For Pitbulls will be holding its 2011 Calendar Release Party this Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 8pm-2am at Shampoo Nightclub in Philly.

I am so excited to not only have the cover photo for this years Calendar featuring Little Darling, Audiogirl, Carla Lou and Baxter but also 4 inside months! Congrats to my amazing clients Nicole & Jenks, Kim & Sarge, Lola Belle & Sweet Pea and Kerri Lynn & Alice who will all be featured in the year's calendar!

For the cover and inside photo of Little Darling (cover photo is featured below) it took over a week of working 14 hour days to build both sets. The inspirations for the shoots were vintage Dust bowl Carnivals of the 1930's but with a bit of a modern twist.

I spent weeks searching for vintage carnival props and my husband Dave and I also built many of the props pictured since vintage carnival props are hard and expensive to come by!
